ust like Mozart, Alex Miranda Cruz explores life’s bittersweet dualities in “Fantasy in D Minor.” Only he uses film, not music, to show how loss can beget understanding. Cruz’s debut short film is named after Mozart’s 1782 composition and features the piece prominently.

Alex and Noel Miranda are co-founders of Bravebird, a Madison-based film company.
